The Perth Racing Carnival takes place in Western Australia, and metropolitan racing in Perth is held at Ascot racecourse over summer and the Belmont Park track over winter.
The major racing carnival in WA is held over the summer period at Ascot and set over 3 days of racing in November and December known as the Festival of Perth. Feature Group One races include the $1Million Railway Stakes along with the Kingston Town Classic.
Another most popular race that attracts plenty of interest over summer is the Group Two Perth Cup which is held annually on New Year’s Day at Ascot racecourse.
Ascot is also home to the autumn racing carnival held in March and April, with the highlight being the Group One WATC Derby and Group Two Karrakatta Plate.

Belmont hosts its main races in May, June and July with four Group 3 races, the Roma Cup, Belmont Sprint, Hyperion Stakes and Strickland Stakes.
