The Roma Cup is a Group 3 weight-for-age race held annually in late May or early June at Belmont racecourse in Perth, Western Australia. The race is run over a distance of 1200 metres and worth $125,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 Roma Cup was won by Vain Raider from Idyllic Prince with Grand Nirvana third.

The Roma Cup is a weight-for-age event over the sprint distance of 1200m and is one of only three group races at Belmont each year, along with the Gr3 Sires Produce Stakes for two-year-olds earlier in the month and the Gr3 Belmont Sprint which is an open handicap race held in mid-June.
The Roma Cup usually attracts the best available local sprinters suited to the conditions of the race and is the ideal lead up race to the upcoming Belmont Sprint. Modem (2004) and Tribula (2003) have both won the Roma Cup & Belmont Sprint double in recent years, while multiple horses have run places in both races, or placed in this race and gone on to win the Belmont Sprint and vice versa.
Vain Raider (2010) ran second in an 1100m Quality event at Northam prior to leading all the way to win this event and recent Roma Cup winners have been Grand Nirvana (2009) and El Presidente (2008).

2010 Roma Cup: Vain Raider went to the lead early in the race and defied all challengers in the run to the line to score a gutsy win. Idyllic Prince raced on the pace and made a valiant effort to run down the winner in the straight but could not make up the required ground, while Grand Nirvana came home well along the inside rail to grab third place.
