The Doomben Roses is a Group 3 set weights race for three-year-old fillies that is held each May at Doomben racecourse in Brisbane, Queensland. The race is run over a distance of 2020 metres and worth $175,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 Doomben Roses was won by Marheta from Femina Fashion with Dariana third.
The race takes place on Group 1 Doomben Cup day which features seven group races on the program in total.

The Doomben Roses is a 3yo staying event for fillies over a distance of 2020m that is the ideal lead up race to the Gr1 Queensland Oaks (2400m) in two weeks time at Eagle Farm. Local horses will make up the majority of the field and the set weight conditions of the race favours the better females entered for the event.
Purple (3rd in 2009) managed to win the Queensland Oaks at her next start and she travelled to Melbourne later in the spring and took out the Gr2 Matriarch Stakes on Emirates Day at Flemington.
Jessicabeel (6th in 2009) had a very successful 2010 autumn carnival in Sydney, as a four-year-old, when she took out the Gr2 Chairmans Handicap and Gr1 Sydney Cup double, both at Randwick.
Marheta (2010) ran second in the listed Gold Coast Bracelet to Femina Fashion before turning the tables on that filly in this event. Recent Doomben Roses winners include Awesome Planet (2009) and Heavenly Glow (2008).

2010 Doomben Roses: Marheta raced on the pace behind the leader (Femina Fashion) and when asked for her effort in the straight she bounded to the lead and went on for a good win. Femina Fashion led from her wide draw and fought on strongly in the run home to finish a gallant second, while Dariana was always rearwards and ran on valiantly for third.
