The 2010 Adrian Knox Stakes was won by Speedy Natalie from Status Quo with Spinnawitch third.
The winner of this race is exempt from a ballot on the Gr1 AJC Australian Oaks and the Adrian Knox Stakes itself is run on the same day as the Gr1 AJC Australian Derby.

The Adrian Knox Stakes takes place seven days before the AJC Australian Oaks (2400m) at Randwick and gives three-year-old fillies a final hit out at 2000m in preparation for the extra 400 metres of the Oaks the following Saturday.
This race has been a handy guide to the AJC Oaks in recent years with Rena's Lady (2007), Wild Iris (2004) and Republic Lass (2002) all winning the Adrian Knox & AJC Oaks double. Miss Darcey (2009) went on to place third in the AJC Oaks and this event is generally a race for more than handy fillies rather than the silk department.
A race like the Gr3 Frank Packer Plate may also be on the agenda for fillies contesting this race and Dariana (6th in 2010) went on to win the Frank Packer Plate at her next start.
Speedy Natalie (2010) lost her rider in the Gr1 Australasian Oaks at Morphettville racecourse in Adelaide prior to her brilliant win in this event and recent winners of the Adrian Knox Stakes include Miss Darcey (2009) and Raise (2008).

2010 Adrian Knox Stakes: Speedy Natalie was much too classy and she came from worse than midfield in the run to race to the lead in the straight and run away from the leading pack with consumate ease. Status Quo got home nicely at the business end to grab second spot, while Spinnawitch ran an honest race for third.
