The 2012 Melbourne Cup will take place on Tuesday 6th November 2012 at Flemington racecourse and early futures markets are now out for our most famous race.
French trained galloper Dunaden ($8.50), ridden by Christophe Lemaire, won the 2011 Melbourne Cup by a nose from England stayer Red Cadeaux ($31.00), ridden by Michael Rodd, while german galloper Lucas Cranach ($13.00), ridden by Corey Brown, finished 1 1/4 lengths back in third place.
Note: Dunaden paid $8.20 for a win on SuperTab in Victoria and punters betting with City SuperPrice at IASbet received a much higher dividend of $9.15 for the win.
