Morphettville Racecourse

South Australia's Morphettville racecourse is the major metropolitan race track in Adelaide and is located in the suburb of Morphettville, around 5 kilometres from the city centre. It's home to the South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC).

The SAJC incoporated a second turf track into the Morphettville course, named 'The Parks', and the first meeting was held on Wednesday June 17th, 2009. The second track enables the club to hold up to 70 race meetings each year.

With the closing of Victoria Park and Cheltenham Park as race venues, "The Parks" has incorporated a 1400m chute that allows the running of group and listed races previously held at those closed venues.
