The Gold Coast Guineas is a Group 3 race for three-year-olds that takes place annually in May at the Gold Coast racecourse on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland. The Guineas is run over a distance of 1200 metres under set weight conditions with $125,000 in prizemoney. The 2011 Gold Coast Guineas was won by Military Rose from Celtic Dancer with Skating On Ice third.

The Gold Coast Guineas is held away from the Metropolitan area of Brisbane and takes place on the Gold Coast which is home to the Magic Millions carnival in January. The Gold Coast racecourse also hosts the Gr2 Hollindale Stakes on the same day.
The Guineas is a set weights event for three-year-olds that favours the better performed gallopers in the race. It will typically attract mainly local types from around the Brisbane and Gold Coast area who may then go on to a race like the Gr3 Fred Best Classic over 1200m later in the month at Doomben.
El Cambio (2008) and Gold Edition (2007) were the most recent gallopers to take out the Gold Coast Guineas & Fred Best Classic double and Leapfrog (2nd in 2009) went on to finish runner-up in the Fred Best Classic at his next start.
Military Rose (2011) finished unplaced in the listed Darby Munro over 1200m at Rosehill in Sydney before leading all the way to win this event and recent Gold Coast Guineas winners include Beethog (2010) and Chakvetadze (2009).
