The WA Guineas is a Group 2 race for three-year-olds held annually at Ascot racecourse in Perth, Western Australia. The race is run over a distance of 1600 metres each November under set weight conditions and is worth $250,000 in prizemoney. The 2009 WA Guineas was won by the filly Clueless Angel who beat Thorn Dancer with The Corporation third.

The WA Guineas is the first 3yo group race of the summer carnival in Perth and attracts the better three-year-olds going around locally and is a good event on the WA racing calendar for three-year-olds.
Top quality three-year-olds contesting this event may go on the Gr1 Railway Stakes (1600m) in seven days time at the same track, while others may look at a race like the Gr2 Lee Steere Classic (1400m) which is a similar race for three-year-olds but over 1400m, rather than 1600m.
In recent times the WA Guineas has been taken out by Moccasin Bend (2008), Megatic (2007) and Vain Crusader in 2006.
