The Run to the Rose is a 3yo quality race that attracts capable three-year-olds earmarked by trainers for this event. Horses contesting this race will most likely head towards the $1M Golden Rose (1400m) in a fortnight at the same track.
The Golden Rose is now a Group 1 race and the richest event held during the Sydney spring carnival which makes it an attractive proposition for connections.
