The Yallambee Stud Classic is a handy group race for three-year-old sprinters that takes place on Adelaide Cup day and will attract the best available local 3yo talent and any interstate raiders looking for a slightly easier black type race. The level weights playing field means the better class gallopers have a decided advantage.
Talented gallopers Show No Emotion (1998), Sword (1995), Euclase (1991) and Vitalic (1989) all won this race as a three-year-old.
Majestic Music (2010) ran second in the Sandown Guineas prior to storming home to win this race when resuming from a spell. Recent winners of the Yallambee Stud Classic have been Champagne Harmony (2009) and Diplomatic Force (2008).

2010 Yallambee Stud Classic: Majestic Music was always well back and came with a big finish down the outside to score a memorable win. Sister Madly was always handy and got to the lead inside the 150m before being cut down by the eventual winner to finish second, while Happy Hippy was a further couple of lengths back in third place.
