The Jansz National Stakes is a Group 3 race for two-year-olds held each year in May at Morphettville racecourse in Adelaide, South Australia during the Adelaide autumn racing carnival. The race is run over a distance of 1200 metres under set weight conditions and worth $115,000 in prizemoney. In 2011 The Jansz National Stakes was won by Triple Asset from Win For Wilson with Gone Skiing third.
The Jansz takes place on Gr1 Goodwood day, alongside the Gr3 SA Oaks, & Gr3 RA Lee Stakes.
The Jansz National Stakes is a sprint race for two-year-olds and tends to attract mainly above average local gallopers who may have previously contested a race like the Gr3 SA Breeders Stakes earlier in the carnival.
Now and then the race can throw up an emerging type and Majestic Music (2009) went on to win the Gr2 Edward Manifold Stakes the following spring at the Flemington carnival as a three-year-old before running second in the Gr2 Sandown Guineas at Sandown.
Triple Asset (2011) won the Gr3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes over 1200m at Flemington prior to winning this race and recent The Jansz National Stakes winners include Toorak Toff (2010) and Majestic Music (2009).
