The Surround Stakes is a Group 2 race for three-year-old fillies held annually each March at Warwick Farm racecourse in Sydney, New South Wales. The race is run over a distance of 1400 metres under set weight conditions and worth $150,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 Surround Stakes was won by More Joyous from Hurtle Myrtle with So Anyway third.
The 2009 Surround Stakes was held at Randwick racecourse.

The Surround Stakes is a good race for three-year-old fillies that is raced at level weights and suits the better performed females in the race. The Gr2 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) is the ideal lead up race to this event and Gold Edition (2007) and More Joyous (2009) have taken out both races in recent times.
The race is held on Warwick Farm's only day of racing during the autumn which is Gr1 Chipping Norton Stakes day, and generally attracts good types heading towards the bigger 3yo fillies races to come at Rosehill and Randwick in following weeks.
More Joyous (2010) scored an easy win in the Light Fingers Stakes before winning this race and recent winners of the Surround Stakes have been Portillo (2009) and Chinchilla Rose (2008).

2010 Surround Stakes: More Joyous led them up and was joined by Hurtle Myrtle as they rounded the turn and from the 300m mark both fillies fought a two horse battle with Hurtle Myrtle looking the likely winner inside the 100m, before More Joyous showed great heart to kick back and take the elad again close to home and score a gutsy win. Hurtle Myrtle finished second with a gap back to So Anyway who was holding her ground on the line to get third from the fast finishing Little Surfer Girl.
