The SA Oaks is a Group 3 race for three-year-old fillies that takes place each year in April at Morphettville Parks racecourse in Adelaide, South Australia. Also known as the 'SA Fillies Classic', it is raced over a distance of 2400 metres under set weight conditions and worth $115,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 SA Oaks was taken out by Danaupair Starlet from Gallant Lady with Ipioga third.
Previously run over a distance of 2500 metres at Morphettville prior to 2010, the race conditions changed for the 2009/2010 season. It was moved from Morphettville race track to the newly formed Morphettville Parks race track and the race distance also reduced to the more traditional Oaks distance of 2400 metres.

The SA Oaks is the longest distance race at group level for three-year-old fillies during the Adelaide autumn racing carnival and being over 2400m under set weight conditions lends itself to the classier fillies in the race.
Fillies contesting this event may have come through the Gr1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) held two weeks earlier. Irish Darling (2005) was the last filly to win both races while Miss Lily Rose (2nd in 2009) placed in both races.
Top fillies who win this race may go on and tackle the colts & geldings in the Gr1 SA Derby (2500m) in around 4 weeks time on Gr1 Goodwood day, as Zarita (2008) did when taking out the SA Oaks & SA Derby double.
Danaupair Starlet (2010) ran second in a 2200m midweek event at Balaklava prior to winning this race and recent SA Oaks winners include Zapurple (2009) and Queen of Queens (2008).
