The Reisling Slipper Trial is a Group 2 race for two-year-old fillies that takes place each March at Rosehill racecourse in Sydney, New South Wales. The race is run over a distance of 1200 metres under set weight conditions and worth $300,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 Reisling Slipper Trial was won by Military Rose from Obsequious with Solar Charged third.
The race was ran as the "Perfect Vision Ilasik Stakes" in 2009 and the winner of this race is exempt from ballot for the Golden Slipper Stakes.

The Reisling Slipper Trial is a fillies only event for two-year-olds that is used as a lead up race to the Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes in a fortnight at the same track. The race is run over the same course & distance as the premier 2yo classic and is held on the same day as the Gr1 Coolmore Stud Classic and Gr1 Ranvet Stakes.
Being run at level weights it will suit the better quality gallopers entered and the race will usually attract 2yo fillies on their way to the Slipper. Polar Success (2003) was the last filly to take out the Reisling Slipper Trial & Golden Slipper Stakes double.
The winning filly of this race has the luxury of being exempt from the Golden Slipper ballot, which ensures a run is guaranteed in the $3.5 million premier race for two-year-olds during the Sydney autumn carnival.
Fillies may come to this race via the Gr2 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) one week earlier at Randwick and also have the option of tackling the Gr2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) the next week at Rosehill, before going on to the Slipper in a fortnight.
Military Rose (2010) won this race fresh from her victory in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic on the Gold Coast in January and recent winners of the Reisling Slipper Trial include More Joyous (2009) and Hips Don't Lie (2008).

2010 Reisling Slipper Trial: Military Rose sat off the pace and once they straightened up she motored into gear and ran to the lead inside the 200m mark for a top win. Obsequious was always handy and finished second after nudging out Solar Charged (third) in a close photo. Solar Charged got to the lead in the straight and weakened in the last 50 metres.
