The Lord Reims Stakes is a Group 3 open handicap race held annually in late February early March at Morphettville racecourse in Adelaide, South Australia. The race is run over a distance of 2600 metres and run under set weight & penalty conditions with prizemoney of $125,000. The 2010 Lord Reims Stakes was won by Moment In Time from Dolphin Jo with Capecover third.
The first three horses that place in this event all qualify for a run in the Adelaide Cup on Monday week and in 2009 the race was run as the 'Toohey's New Stakes'.

The Lord Reims Stakes is named after former tough stayer Lord Reims and is one of the first group races of the Adelaide autumn racing carnival. It is a good lead up race to the upcoming Gr2 Adelaide Cup (3200m) on Monday week and Apache King (2001) was the last horse to win both races in the same year.
This race will typically assemble a field of predominantly handy local stayers with Adelaide Cup aspiritions. Lacey Underall (4th in 2008) ran 4th in this race and then went to win the Cup next start, while Tails Of Triomphe (7th in 2008) placed third in the Cup. Exalted Ego (2008) ended up finishing 4th in the Adelaide Cup.
Out of the Lord Reims Stakes placegetters in 2009, third placed Fordee ran best in the Adelaide Cup when he finished in fourth place, while Miss Pavlova and Brad Star ran down the track.
Moment in Time (2010) ran fourth in the Port Adelaide Cup on her way to winning this event and recent winners of the Lord Reims Stakes have been Miss Pavlova (2009) and Exalted Ego (2008).

2010 Lord Reims Stakes: Moment In Time came with a well timed run in the straight to run over the top of the race leader Dolphin Jo inside the final 200m and go on for a good win. Dolphin Jo was gallant in defeat and finished a clear second after leading most of the way, while Capecover made a dash rounding the turn, but weakened on his run in the straight and battled on fairly for third.
