The All Aged Stakes is a Group 1 weight-for-age race held annually each April at Randwick racecourse in Sydney, New South Wales. The race is run over a distance of 1400 metres and worth $300,000 in prizemoney. The 2010 All Aged Stakes was won by Hot Danish from Melito with Beaded third.
Taking place on the final Saturday of the Sydney autumn racing carnival, which is Sydney Cup Day, the All Aged Stakes is held alongside three other Group 1 races, the Sydney Cup, Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Champagne Stakes.

The All Aged Stakes is a is a classy sprint race held on the final day of the autumn carnival in Sydney under level weight conditions. The race usually attracts top quality horses and the 1400m distance of the event makes it an ideal step up from the Gr1 TJ Smith Stakes (1200m) held one week earlier at Randwick.
Bentley Biscuit (2007) and Shamekha (2005) both scored the TJ Smith & All Aged Stakes double in recent times, while Hot Danish (2010) and Melito (2nd in 2010) reversed positions from the TJ Smith on their way to running one-two in this race.
Some classy gallopers have greeted the judge in the All Aged Stakes over the years with Sunline (2000/2002), Intergaze (1999), All Our Mob (1997), Rough Habit (1992-93), Shaftesbury Avenue (1991) all winners of this race.
Hot Danish (2010) went on to win the Gr1 Doomben 10,000 during the Brisbane winter carnival after winning this race and Melito (2nd in 2010) went on to run second in the Gr1 Stradbroke Handicap before winning the Gr1 Winter Stakes, for fillies & mares on the final day of the winter carnival at Eagle Farm.
Hot Danish (2010) ran second in the TJ Smith Stakes before winning this race and recent winners of the All Aged Stakes include Danleigh (2009) and Racing To Win (2008).

2010 All Aged Stakes: Hot Danish ran to the lead quite easily and settled in front during the race before being popped the question inside the final 200m where she defied all challengers to go on for an impressive victory. Melito ran second after sitting on the leader's back all the way, while Beaded raced midfield and finished very well to snare third.
